In a testament to the legendary appeal of Cabo sportfishing, a "Fantasy Slam" on a charter has happened

At Top Anglers Sportfishing Charters, we live for those unforgettable days on the water—and yesterday was one for the record books. One of our loyal and repeat guests who has fished with us for decades accomplished an IGFA “Fantasy Slam”, catching a blue marlin, sailfish, wahoo, dorado, and Spanish mackerel all in a single outing.

The Significance of a Fantasy Slam in Cabo Sportfishing

For those who don’t know, the IGFA (International Game Fish Association) Fantasy Slam is one of the rarest achievements in sportfishing. Per IGFA rules, all catches must include eligible species and must be made within one calendar day. Unlike a traditional billfish slam, it requires anglers to catch not only multiple species of billfish but also pelagic gamefish. Pulling it off takes a perfect combination of skill, conditions, experience and a little bit of Cabo sportfishing magic.

This incredible catch comes right on the heels of another milestone we hit this summer: a “Super Grand Slam” on July 28, when one of our Cabo charter boats successfully landed striped marlin, yellowfin tuna, dorado (mahi mahi) and sailfish in one day.

Back-to-back feats like these highlight why Cabo sportfishing is a bucket-list item for many anglers. Few places in the world offer such diversity of species and such consistent action in a single stretch of ocean.

Thinking of sportfishing Cabo? Whether you’re after marlin, dorado, tuna, or hoping for your own shot at a slam, our experienced crews and well-equipped sportfishing boats are ready to make it happen.

Book your trip today at www.topanglersfishing.com and come chase your own fishing dream.
